Who is this training for?
This training is designed for yoga/movement teachers (or teachers in training) who wish to deepen their understanding of accessibility, inclusivity, and trauma-informed principles. It’s suitable for those new to these approaches as well as teachers looking to expand their skills.
Do I need prior experience with trauma-informed yoga?
Not at all. The training is designed to meet you where you are. We’ll start with foundational principles and build towards practical tools you can apply
How is the training delivered?
This training includes:
- A clear framework of theory, practice, and reflection.
- Practical tools you can apply immediately in your classes
- Comprehensive written materials and resources.
- Ongoing support and opportunities for integration,
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Upon completion of the 40 hours, you’ll receive a certificate of completion that may be used towards Continuing Education credits with Yoga Alliance, Yoga Australia, AUSactive.
Please note, you do not need to be registered with Yoga Australia, Yoga Alliance, or AUSactive to teach yoga or facilitate teacher trainings. These organisations are not governing bodies — they are private registration bodies that teachers may choose to align with if it feels supportive or relevant to their work.
This training has been designed with the same level of integrity, structure, and educational depth you’d expect from any high-quality yoga teacher training, simply without the requirement for external registration.straight away.
Is there any pre course work I need to complete?
There is a small amount of pre-course work required. You’ll receive some suggested readings and reflection prompts before the training begins. These are designed to help you arrive feeling prepared and ready to engage with the material. You will not be graded or assessed on this work.
What times & days will the training run, and will there be breaks?
The training runs from 9am – 4.30pm each day, across Thursday 14th May to Sunday 17th May 2026. There will be a lunch break each day, along with shorter rest breaks to help you integrate and recharge. Our schedule is designed to balance learning with spaciousness, so you can stay engaged without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
What if I have to miss part of the training?
We understand that life happens. Depending on the format, some components may be made up through recordings or additional assignments. Please reach out if you anticipate needing flexibility.
What happens if I book and can no longer attend?
We understand that circumstances can change. If you’re unable to attend after booking, please get in touch as soon as possible. Refunds or transfers may be available depending on the notice period — we’ll do our best to accommodate your situation. Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for full details.
Are payment plans available?
Yes. Flexible payment options are available. Please note that any outstanding balance must be finalised before the training commences on 14 May 2025.
What will I be able to do after this training?
By the end, you’ll feel confident creating classes that are accessible, inclusive, and grounded in trauma-informed principles. You’ll have practical tools to adapt your language, sequencing, and approach to better support the diverse needs of your students.
Is this training only for yoga teachers?
While the focus is on yoga teaching, movement professionals from other modalities (such as pilates, dance, or fitness) may also find the training valuable.
Where is the training held?
The training will take place at Unit 5/19 Lomandra Place, Coolum Beach QLD.
There is ample parking available & facilities – tea & coffee making, a fridge and restrooms.
What will I need to bring?
Bring a notebook, your yoga mat, any props you use regularly – Additional props will be available to use, and an open mind.
Additional materials will be provided.
Please bring snacks & food for the breaks if you wish. There is a fridge where you can store any items. Tea & coffee will be provided.
Prior to the training you will also receive a list of anything else that might be required.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we aim to be as fair and supportive as possible. Please see our cancellation terms below –
- Cancellations made 30 days or more before the training start date (on or before 14 April 2025) will receive a full refund, minus a $100 administrative fee.
- Cancellations made 14–29 days before the training start date (between 15–30 April 2025) are eligible for a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made less than 14 days before the training start date (from 1 May 2025 onwards) are non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to another participant subject to approval from both Sarah White and Andrea Bruce.
